Texas Sleep Center & Counseling offers Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) for adults with ongoing difficulty falling or staying asleep. We welcome referrals from primary care providers, psychiatrists, therapists and sleep physicians across Texas.
Patients can continue seeing their therapist while completing CBT-I. Our work focuses on insomnia and complements the care they already receive.
Please send the patient’s full name, date of birth and contact information. You may include a medication list or relevant treatment history. Our intake team will contact the patient to schedule.
Patients may also schedule directly without a referral.

Insomnia and sleep apnea often occur together. We provide insomnia treatment, while partner providers treat apnea; our clinician coordinates referrals when needed.
The first visit is a 50-minute assessment of sleep history, previous treatment and current medications. Most patients then attend six to eight weekly follow-up appointments. A daily sleep diary guides changes to the sleep schedule, and sessions address the habits and worries that interfere with sleep.
Most patients meet by video with a clinician licensed in Texas. A limited number of clinicians also offer in-person visits at our Dallas, Houston and Austin offices; availability is confirmed at booking. Patients must be in Texas during appointments.

The Insomnia Severity Index asks seven questions about your sleep over the past two weeks. Complete every question to calculate a score you can discuss with your clinician.
Your score is a screening result, not a diagnosis. A licensed clinician can review it alongside your symptoms and health history to help determine what is affecting your sleep.
